Old Business:

  • Pastor Foss opened in devotion and prayer

  • Minutes approved form last meeting

  • PASTOR REPORT:
    • Working on getting things lined up for Confirmation and Auction.
    • Have been working with the Circuit Visitor.
    • June 24th will be installation of Pastor Constien. Not sure yet who is doing installation or time.
    • Pastor Foss’s last day is June 3rd.
    • Finishing up Adult Confirmations before leaving.

  • PRINCIPAL REPORT:
    • None

  • TREASURERS’ REPORT:
    • 25% of year left for operating budget and were $60,000 down in tithes. Last year we had a $50,000 donation that we haven’t gotten this year. We are a very frugal church. (View statement for details)
    • Could make additional principle payment with the access in building fund.
    • Need someone to manage the coordination of church and school communication.
    • Website will be up soon and it was paid for by the Foundation and School. Have been networking to find someone to fill this roll.
    • Had gift of $37,000 to Organ Fund to complete all the way to Phase 3.

  • CHRISTIAN STUDIES:
    • Looking for Youth Group Leader
    • Expand beyond St Paul by including neighboring congregations
    • Share expenses with other congregations, estimated monthly cost $300.\

  • CHRISTIAN OUTREACH:
    • Identify community organizations needing help
    • Identify members to assist with member home needs.
    • Accumulate list of persons needing help.

  • CHRISTIAN LIFE:
    • Working on Pastor Foss’s dinner for June 3 and Pastor Steve on June 24th.
    • Having Mens Club help with meat.
    • Bake sale made $385 that went to St Paul High School

  • CHRISTIAN EDUCATION:
    • Auction May 5th, need support.
    • Working with Treasurer for next years student s
    • May 14th Field Day at Engler Park
    • May 15th 8th grade and kindergarten Graduation

  • Discussion:
    1. Tim Crites suggested that Dylan needs help with the screens during services, also for the 445 service. Pastor Foss talked with Caroline about mentoring someone on sound system.
    2. Janet Laut has steel cross that could be used.

New Business:

  • Kraig Sutherland:
    • May 20th is High School Graduation
    • May 22nd at 6:00pm Will have All Board Meeting then have Council Meeting at 7:15pm.
    • Updated list for New Congregation Officers & New Board Members, still need Vice President and Treasurer.
    • Tracy Laut has declined position and Cathy Jarvis is replacing.
    • Should we have voters meeting 13th or 20 of June for Voters Meeting?
    • Hand out Voters Ballot week before Voters Meeting for congregation to look at.
    • Motion to choose May 20th for Voters to ratify New Officers & Board Members, and the 2018/19 Budget.

    A. Go back and look at it and adjust. 95% of budget is fixed because of salaries etc.…

    • Pastor Constein has accepted call. He will be here by June 17th for service.
    • Mid-Afternoon for the Installation of Pastor Constein in afternoon.

  • Motion 2:
    • Summer of fun BBQ, profits to benefit St Paul High School and St Paul Giants Foundation.
    • Motion to approve Flyer for June 15th, July 13th and August 10th BBQ

  • Motion 3:
    • VBS is July 15th thru 19th for children 3yrs to 6th grade.
    • Elders will organize and adult bible study during VBS
    • Christian Studies is sponsoring a swim party on July 19th at the water park.

    • Octoberfest is September 15th
    • Motion to approve September 15th for date of Octoberfest
