Old Business:

  • Still looking for a Sunday School Superintendent... have a couple people who are praying and considering this position.

  • Handbook- Kim reported she is still working on changes submitted

  • Fund Raiser has been tabled until Council decides on church funds raises

New Business:

  • Youth Group report- Heather Kurtz Organized meeting 2/19 & 2/23 There were 15 kids attended 5 were high school.
    Jeremiah Crites said he will help when he can. Open Gym for the 2/23

  • Kim has checked out the movie to take a group to on possibly 3/9 that will be in Festus movie theater.

  • will meet 4 times in the next couple of months. Pastor King has talked to the 6-8 graders about Jr youth retreat Windermere. Planning on about 15 youth to attend.

  • Requested to get a $ 100.00 gift card for meeting expense

  • Discussed fund raisers, checking to see where flamingos are from previous fundraisers, other options were discussed.

  • Information on the youth group has been put out on face book, church announcements, pilgrim, fast track, as well as class visits were made.

  • VBS Heaven Mueller has been researching and working on ordering supplies, T-shirts, programs. Gave report on expected expense.
    Waiting to set date for VBS until we can confirm crew and staff. Heaven will order T-shirts. Discussed youth group to prepare and host a kick off dinner on Sunday afternoon as a fund raiser Heather will discuss with the group. Supplies have to be ordered by end of March to get the 20% discount.

    Sunday School $ 3,560.00
    Youth Group $ 3,600.00
    Vacation Bible School $ 2,200.00
    We will submit budget of $ 9,360.00

  • Kim requested we discuss putting together a 12 month calendar at next meeting. Eileen will add to agenda for next week

  • Sat Friday, February 28th to put together Sunday School crafts at 6pm

  • Eileen reminded board we need to encourage board and members to engage in prayer and bible studies.
    Heaven will bring a list of all current studies to review at next meeting

  • Need to set new goals for board for the 2014
    1) More Bible Study groups organized
    2) Stewardship Program- Bd needs to support this group
    3) Continue to support youth group
    4)Abstinence Program
