Old Business:
Pastor opened with Bible study and prayer.
Minutes submitted and approved.
In addition Pastor discussed the “working team” including himself and both principals, and Pastor’s vacation which he should return by the 8th of Oct.
We skipped the Elder Interest areas as we had only three Elders present.
Discussed: Envelopes (offering/tithing) as some parishioners are dissatisfied that they no longer receive them.
Discussed: the possibility of using debit card machines in churches for those parishioners who would be more inclined to use them over traditional checking accounts.
Discussed: Scheduling conflict on Sept. 24 between the 4”45 service and a volleyball game. Was easily rectified.
Discussed the “Elders retreat” with one of the topics being how we make decisions in the church/ as a church.
New Business:
Next meeting will be 101116 at 6:30PM. In the conference room if that does not interfere with any other meeting scheduled in the conference room. If so meetin will be held in the commons.
